Terms of service

The service

POS is a subscription point-of-sale service for restaurants, grocery stores and boutiques. It includes a web dashboard, an offline-capable desktop app, a staff mobile app and a customer ordering page.

We may add, change or retire features. Material reductions are announced at least 30 days in advance by email.

Accounts and roles

The person who creates a business becomes its owner and is responsible for the staff accounts they invite, the devices they link and the data they enter.

Keep passwords and PINs private. Tell us at once if you suspect misuse.

Subscriptions and billing

Every new business gets a 14-day free trial. After that a paid plan is required; prices are listed on the pricing page and charged in advance through Razorpay.

If a payment fails, the account enters a 7-day grace period with full access, then becomes read-only until payment succeeds. Data is never deleted for non-payment during the first 90 days.

You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. See the refund policy for refunds.

Your data

Your business data (catalogue, customers, orders, reports) belongs to you. You can export all of it at any time from Settings and you can ask us to delete your account.

We process it only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy.

Payments you collect

Online payments from your customers go directly to your own Razorpay account. We never hold your customers' money and we are not a party to those transactions.

You are responsible for your GST registration, invoice series and tax filings. POS produces GST-compliant invoices from the data you configure.

Acceptable use

Do not use POS for anything unlawful, to send spam, to attack the service, or to process payments for goods you are not allowed to sell.

We may suspend accounts that breach these terms, after notice where practical.

Availability and liability

We aim for high availability and keep daily backups, and the desktop app keeps billing working offline. The service is provided as is; our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the subscription fees you paid in that period.

We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or data entered incorrectly by users.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the courts at the registered office of Codecano Technology.
